Estudios del Horizonte began in 2012 as an aesthetic exercise and a search for a personal language. Since then, it has evolved through ongoing variations, material shifts, and repeated encounters with landscapes across different geographies.
Using digital long-exposure photography, the project starts from a specific place but resists describing it. Duration, movement, and light destabilize the horizon until the landscape becomes a field of color, tension, and abstraction. What initially appears as a view is gradually transformed into an image that operates beyond location: an experience of time, perception, and distance.
Across its different presentations, the work has moved between fine-art prints, giclée editions, double acrylic prints, and a five-meter mural intervention. These shifts in scale and material extend the project beyond the photographic frame, allowing each iteration to reconsider how a landscape can be experienced, constructed, and remembered.
